We’ve all seen it. You go to use your lettuce, spinach, kale, or other green leafy veggie and you see a slimy, wilted mess that kind of resembles what you remember being in the package.
Bariatric patients are encouraged to eat their protein first. And it gets even trickier because food manufacturers sometimes use different forms of sugar in their products, meaning you might not see the word “sugar” listed on the ingredient list. Instead, you could see a name you don’t recognize as sugar.
