In a previous post, we talked about the role mobile apps can play in a healthy lifestyle. Often we have goals we would ideally like to achieve, but despite our good intentions, not knowing where to begin can be discouraging. This free app is designed to help people who are new to running. Users progress from a sedentary fitness level to running for 30 consecutive minutes in 8 weeks. If that is not enough to motivate you to try it, we are told following the training plan is a breeze! An easy 3 days a week for 30-40 minutes (including a warm up and cool down) is all it takes.
What makes this plan effective is that it slowly eases you into running, without pushing you so hard that you give up altogether. Best part? It works while you listen to your own music!
